Central Communicators Toastmasters Pushing back the boundaries of poor communication !

09/24/2026

Central Communicators Toastmasters had a great meeting on Tuesday, September 22. Wil Davenport served as the Toastmaster of the meeting with a theme of resolving conflict. Many tips and observations were shared throughout the meeting.

Lilly Jackson gave a prepared presentation on the Toastmasters’ educational program Pathways. Rona Ahola-Qualls provided helpful feedback as Lilly’s evaluator.

Prince Hyder, as first-time Table Topics Master, asked questions of five participants. Joyce’s response earned her the Best Table Topics Speaker ribbon.

Tony Marano was the General Evaluator for the meeting. Ozgur Alaca, in his role of Grammarian, encouraged all present to use the word “determination.” Amelea was the Uh-Um Counter for the first time. Lindsey Reneau served as the Timer, and Gail Curran was the Jokemaster.

Very much looking forward to our next meeting on October 13.

Our August 11th meeting was fantastic! Tony Marano was the Toastmaster of the evening. Rona Ahola-Qualls was the General Evaluator and shared the humorous update provided by Prince Hyder.

The club members were treated to two icebreaker speeches. Mayra Diaz delivered “What’s in your wallet?” and Cayden Coffman shared “The Power of Creation.” Both did a wonderful job, and we’re looking forward to their next speeches.

Their speeches were evaluated by Wil Davenport and Eduardo Diaz.

Jean Damascene Nkurunziza served as Tabe Topics Master with an education theme. Three members participated.

Several members used the word persnickety provided by Grammarian Lilly Jackson. Jarrod Chapman captured our filler words and verbal crutches as the Uh-Um Counter, and Gail Curran was the Timer.

Special thanks to Wil for setting up our meeting space and Rona for creating new tent cards and copying the agenda.

Best Speaker went to Mayra, Best Evaluator was Wil, and Lilly was Best Table Topics Speaker.

Our next club meeting is August 25th, and guests are always welcome to join us.

At our July 28, 2026 meeting, Wil Davenport served as our Toastmaster of the evening. We had a robust meeting with the theme of gratitude. Mayra Diaz was the Table Topics Master for the first time. Cayden Coffman was voted as Best Tabe Topics Speaker.

Prepared speeches were delivered by Club President Rona Ahola-Qualls and Area B-21 Director Stanley See. Their speeches were evaluated by Lilly Jackson and Gail Curran respectively. The Stanley/ Gail pairing were voted Best Speaker and Best Evaluator.

In addition to a great meeting, club members were happy to meet guests Tina and Derek! We hope to see them again soon.
