👻🎃 Spooky Time! 🎃👻

It’s that time of year when things get a little spooky, and what better way to celebrate than by talking about Kimchi’s Friends' favorite horror movie cat... Church from Pet Sematary! 🐾💀

Fun fact: Our founders’ cat, French Fry, looks just like the original Church! 🖤 With that iconic British Shorthair look, he’s got the same gray fur and serious stare—minus the spooky, undead vibes, of course! French Fry is all about the snuggles and charm.

Church may have made us shiver in Pet Sematary, but French Fry shows us that British Shorthairs are pure love (and a little bit of sass). 😼

I have indeed tripped from my cat walking in front of me while I’m walking. Happy Saturday!

At Kimchi's Friends, we believe every wagging tail, happy purr, and grateful little face tells a story worth fighting for. 🐾

Rescue isn't always glamorous. It's early mornings, late nights, vet visits, foster homes, and lots of hope. But every animal who finds safety reminds us exactly why we keep going.

Whether you've adopted, donated, volunteered, shared one of our posts, or simply cheered us on, you're part of this journey. You help turn second chances into forever homes.

Thank you for believing that every animal deserves love, kindness, and a place to call home. Here's to many more happy endings... and plenty of muddy paws, whiskers, and wet noses along the way.

From one small soul to another… 🐾

A note from Kimchi’s Friends on why this work matters:

• Because no one facing the hardest days of their life should have to wonder who will love their pet if they can’t
• Because animals don’t understand illness—but they understand absence, and that matters
• Because a familiar purr, a warm nose, a quiet presence can bring more comfort than words ever could
• Because dignity at the end of life includes knowing your best friend will be safe, cherished, and never forgotten
• Because love doesn’t pause when life gets heavy—it just needs a little help carrying the weight

This is why we show up. This is why Kimchi’s story became something bigger.
