Hey folks. I wouldn’t normally do this. We are looking for support for a good friend of mine. Leon is former military and currently working with me at a local EMS operation in Knoxville, TN. He’s selflessly served others the majority of his adult life. Recently Leon has faced some health issues resulting in pulmonary fibrosis and in need of a lung transplant. Leon has the means to get the transplant however he won’t be able to work after the transplant for some time. Vanderbilt Medical is requiring Leon to reside within the local area of the Hospital for approximately 90-120 days after the transplant. He does not have the means to cover those expenses. We as a local EMS community are working on other avenues to help him out as well. Our community has a pretty long reach. We have set a 20k goal to help him with expenses and other included expenses along the way during his recovery. Please feel free to get the word out.
