InterFaith Health Center InterFaith Health Center provides medical, dental, mental health, and prescription services to the working uninsured or underserved.

A health care ministry in Knoxville, Tennessee providing affordable medical care, dental care, mental health counseling and prescription medications for working uninsured individuals, primarily through the support of the religious, individual, health care and business communities. These services are provided within the capacity of the Center regardless of race, creed, age, religion or national origin. The Center also has a network of over 400 specialty physicians, dentists and counselors who see our patients at their private offices and charge according to our sliding fee scale.

In recognition of World Mental Health Day, here are top tips for being a good listener. By being a good listener, you are supporting someone’s mental health!
1. Find a good time and space. Don’t rush and reduce distractions.
2. Listen to understand. Focus on listening rather than responding.
3. Actively listen. Make eye contact and don’t interrupt.
4. Ask; don’t tell. Don’t offer a solution. Ask how you can be supportive.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. An early diagnosis of breast cancer increases survival rates, but for those without health insurance, mammograms and other screenings can feel out of reach.

At InterFaith Health Center, we help make breast cancer screening possible through our care team and community partnerships, helping patients detect problems early when treatment is most effective.
