Today we want to take a moment to say thank you to Kaija Paddock for more than three years of faithful service with BLOC Knoxville! 💚
Kaija joined BLOC full-time in June 2023, during the early days of our work in Vestal. Since then, she has invested countless hours building relationships with neighbors, caring for volunteers, helping lead BLOC Buddies and community events, and handling so many of the behind-the-scenes details that helped BLOC grow.
In fact, as we looked back through photos, it was a little harder to find pictures of Kaija — which probably says something about the way she served. So much of her work happened quietly, making sure things were ready, people were cared for, and needs were met.
We are especially grateful for the relationships Kaija built with women and families in the community. Through conversations, encouragement, practical support, and simply being present, she helped create the kind of relational space that is at the heart of BLOC.
Kaija, thank you for the time, energy, heart, and love you have poured into BLOC and into the Vestal neighborhood. You have been an important part of our story, and we are grateful for the role you have played in helping cultivate space for connection, community, and hope in Christ.
We are also excited to congratulate Kaija as she begins a new role with Christian Student Fellowship at the University of Tennessee. We are grateful that her next chapter will continue to involve investing in people, building relationships, and sharing the hope of Christ with students.
Kaija, thank you for serving BLOC so faithfully. We’re cheering you on in what comes next! 💚
