From dyes to teas and tinctures, we explored medieval uses for plants at our Medieval Gardening Class, kicking off the Appalachian gardening season.

Some medieval uses for plants discussed were brewing, calligraphy and illumination, dyes and inks, and medicine. Stations were set up around the room where you could learn more about each process: paint with plant products, taste the teas, and plan your garden with a seed swap.
