Getting really stoked about the Spring Break trip. Folks in Moultrie, GA are getting ready. Tonight we may go over 110 signed up. If we get to 120 I'll shave a Power T into my chest - Ouch. Are you going?

I hope all have finally caught up on rest from the Fall Break trip. What a great time - amazing work was done by everyone and God was present in a very real way in our worship and small group times. We serve an awesome God and he helped us do amazing things. Now, back to the day-to-day grind... How do we keep the fires burning?

Great time was had by the standing-room-only crowd at The Cross last night. Mark your calendars for the September 14 cookout, September 24 CHOP run on the AT, and the Fall Break service trip to Kentucky on September 29. Rick Kuhlman was hilarious - what a great pair of legs under those short shorts!

Exciting news - our Fall Break trip this year will be to help flood victims in Bell County, Kentucky. Many of these folks have been living on their front porch since the area flooded in May. We'll be getting their homes back to livable shape by repairing the inside and outside of these houses (bring your allergy pills!). Mark your calendar for September 29 - October 2. Jim

Melissa, Wil, and the staff got together yesterday to plan the Student Leadership Team retreat. Then I ran into the ladies who are cooking the food. This will be a great weekend of fellowship, food, fun, worship, and planning for the Fall meetings of The Cross. SLT members - Plan to be there, its gonna be a great weekend.

The Fall Semester is right around the corner. I talked this morning with folks about our Student Leadership Team retreat and our Fall Break service trip to Pineville, KY about a month later. I'm getting really excited about what's in store for The Cross this fall.
