105 years ago today, on June 7, 1921, a group of dedicated women gathered for the first meeting of the Junior League of Knoxville. What began as a commitment to service has grown into more than a century of developing women leaders and creating meaningful community impact throughout Knoxville.

From supporting local nonprofits and community partners to advancing initiatives focused on education, family well-being, and civic engagement, Junior League members continue to roll up their sleeves and lead positive change across our community.

As we celebrate 105 years of service, leadership, and impact, we're looking ahead to the next generation of women ready to make a difference.

💯 Did You Know!? 💯

In April of 2001, Junior League turned 100! Deborah Brittain, AJLI's first African-American President, presided over The Junior League's centennial celebration. Maya Angelou, Nane Annan, and Gloria Steinem, among others, addressed the members at the Annual Conference in New York City, site of the first Junior League.
