Ryder Pickett from Sandlot Warriors 9u barreled up a hanging fastball and grabbed him a Bomb Squad Chain today!

Good morning...

I know a lot of you are playing today or getting ready to play today but I wanted to send out information for this special event coming up the weekend of June 19! Hero's Hill Wood Bat Classic being held at the newly turfed Knox County Sports Park.

Sandlot Sports has reached an agreement with Knox Co to be able to hold this special event for the Mayor and his staff. Operation Hero Hill is an initiative of Mayor Glenn Jacobs to provide housing for the homeless veterans of our area, and what better way to raise money for that cause than to play baseball?

Entry per team is $100 and there is NO GATE FEE, only a donation area at the gate if you feel led to give to this worthy cause.

Friday night, the 19th will consist of the Carter Sports Park Hornet Heroes Challenger game, followed by a HR Derby for each age group! Come be a part of something special, and watch these athletes that get to play the game we take for granted. Watch the smiles, the high fives, the hugs and everything involved and cheer them on as they complete their season at this special event!

The Sandlot Sports June Jamboree is underway today with action taking place on 3 fields featuring teams in the 9u, 10u, and 11u divisions!
Come out and enjoy a full day of baseball, great food, and some awesome vendors while supporting these young athletes as they compete for championship rings! 🏆💍

🌭 Scooter's Food Truck is on-site serving up some incredible food all day long!

🎨 RBM Kustomz is in the house with his laser engravers ready to create custom gear, gifts, and more while you watch the games!
