Widowed Parent Relief Project

Widowed Parent Relief Project Cultivating hope and joy for families while building enduring community connections. Each widow's needs are unique. Self care is crucial for mental health.

WPRP serves men and women who have been widowed within the last three years and have children under 18 living in the home. WPRP learns these needs and creates an individual plan to assist each family. Such services as house cleaning and home organizing . In addition, widows often forego any "me time" due to the burden of paying for additional childcare. WPRP offers direct aid for this time for the widow by covering babysitting fees.

🌟 Team Tuesday 🌟

Meet George Steinbarger, WPRP's Treasurer. With more than 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, and strategic leadership, George brings invaluable expertise to our Board of Directors.

After witnessing the impact of WPRP's Family Friend program firsthand, George felt called to support our mission and the widowed families we serve. His guidance helps ensure WPRP continues to grow, remain financially strong, and expand support for parents and children navigating life after loss.

We're grateful for George's servant leadership, dedication, and heart for helping widowed families find hope and community.

James 1:27 calls us to care for widows in their distress.

That calling goes beyond a moment. It invites us to show up with compassion, practical support, and a willingness to walk alongside families as they rebuild their lives after loss.

That's the heart behind everything we do at WPRP. That’s why we serve.
