Fruitful Fridays 🍐💛 | Gentleness

As we wrap up our Fruitful Fridays devotions on the Fruit of the Spirit, we hope these weeks have encouraged your family to grow a little closer to Jesus—one fruit at a time. 💚

This week’s focus is gentleness. In a world that often rewards the loudest voice, God calls us to pause, respond with kindness, and remember that our words have the power to build up the people around us.

“A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” — Proverbs 15:1

Thank you for following along with us this summer! We pray these simple devotions have sparked meaningful conversations and helped plant seeds of faith in your homes. 🌿

Save this post to try the Gentle Words Jar activity with your family this week!

Happy Fruitful Friday! 💛

As you head into the weekend, may you make room for the Holy Spirit to grow good fruit in your life. Even the smallest acts of love, kindness, and faithfulness can have an eternal impact.

Praying your Friday is full of His goodness. 🌿✨

Fruitful Friday: Faithfulness 🌱

Faithfulness grows in the little things — keeping our promises, showing up with love, and choosing what is right even when it’s hard.

Just like a tiny seed needs daily care to grow, our children learn faithfulness through the everyday moments they see in us. God is faithful to love us, care for us, and keep His promises — and He helps us grow as we follow Him. 💛

This week, plant a seed with your child and talk about how faithfulness means continuing to do the right thing, even when we don’t see results right away.

Fruitful Friday: Patience 🌱

Patience can be hard to hold onto in the middle of busy days, full schedules, and all the little interruptions that come with motherhood.

But Romans 12:12 reminds us to be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. God is growing something good in us and in our families — even in the waiting.

This week, plant something with your kids and talk about how good things often take time, care, and trust. 🌼

🚦Stop. Think. Choose wisely.

Self-control is the Fruit of the Spirit that helps us pause before we react and choose kindness instead. Every small moment of self-control helps grow strong character and a closer walk with God. 💚

Fruitful Friday: Kindness 🍇

This week we’re recapping Kindness, one of the Fruits of the Spirit we covered in MINT this year.

Kindness is one of the simplest ways we can show God’s love to others. Sometimes it looks big, but often it is found in the small things — sharing, helping, listening, forgiving, or using gentle words.

Bible Verse:
“Be kind to one another, forgiving each other, just as Christ forgave you.”
Ephesians 4:32

Kids Activity:
Try a Kindness Scavenger Hunt! Give each child a list of simple kind actions to complete during the day. At the end of the day, let everyone share which act of kindness made them feel happiest.

Children’s Book:
Have You Filled a Bucket Today? by Carol McCloud

May we look for little ways to reflect the heart of Jesus through kindness this week. 💛

Fruitful Friday: Peace 🕊️

This week we’re recapping Peace, one of the Fruits of the Spirit we covered in MINT this year.

Peace doesn’t mean the house is quiet. It means your heart can return to Jesus even when life feels loud and overwhelming.

Bible Verse:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.”
John 14:27

Kids Activity:
Make a Peace Jar! Shake a glitter jar, then watch it settle and talk about how God helps our hearts settle too.

Children’s Book:
The Peace Book by Todd Parr

Our prayer this week is that you feel God’s peace in the middle of the noise, the schedules, the needs, and the everyday moments of motherhood. 💙

Fruitful Friday: Joy 🍊

This week we’re recapping Joy, one of the Fruits of the Spirit we talked about in MINT this year.

Joy isn’t the same as having an easy day. Even in the middle of motherhood’s mess, God’s presence gives us strength and fills our hearts with joy.

Bible Verse:
“The joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Nehemiah 8:10

Kids Activity:
Go on a Joy Hunt! Have your child find or draw 3 things that bring them joy, then thank God for each one.

Children’s Book:
The Happy Book by Andy Rash

May this week be a sweet reminder that joy can be found right in the middle of ordinary moments. 💛

Fruitful Friday: Love ❤️

This week we’re recapping Love, one of the Fruits of the Spirit we covered in MINT this year.

Biblical love is more than a feeling — it rejoices with truth, chooses what is good, and points us back to the Lord. As we teach our children what love looks like, may we also look for ways to pour out love in our homes and communities.

Try the Love Charades activity with your kids this week and talk about simple ways we can show God’s love to others.

Introducing Fruitful Fridays 🍓

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be recapping the topics we covered in MINT this year as we walked through the Fruit of the Spirit together.

Each Friday, we’ll share a short devotional thought for moms, a children’s book recommendation, and a simple kids activity to help carry the conversation home.

Our prayer is that these weekly reminders will encourage you, spark sweet conversations with your children, and help your family keep growing good fruit in little hearts. 💛

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control…”
Galatians 5:22-23
