La política no es algo lejano.
Está presente en la educación de nuestros hijos, en nuestras libertades, en la economía, en la seguridad y en el futuro de nuestras comunidades.

Cuando los ciudadanos se alejan de la participación, otros ocupan ese espacio:
la indiferencia, la corrupción, la desinformación o el autoritarismo.

La democracia necesita ciudadanos presentes, informados y comprometidos.

Participar no significa pensar igual.
Significa comprender que el futuro de una sociedad también depende de sus ciudadanos.

What is the greatest strength of American democracy?

It is not one person.
It is not one party.
It is not one election.

Its greatest strength is a system where power is divided, watched, and limited.

For more than two centuries, the United States has shown that freedom survives when institutions are stronger than individuals. Through the rule of law, checks and balances, federalism, free speech, and civic participation, democracy gains the ability to correct mistakes without collapsing.

That is real strength: not perfection, but resilience.

When power has limits, liberty has protection.

At CIVITAS, we believe strong democracies are built through civic education, ethical leadership, and engaged citizens.
