What a fantastic way to wrap up the year! Our December luncheon was full of connection, celebration, and giving back. We were proud to present our donation check to Meals on Wheels, capturing the spirit of community that makes our chapter so special.

We also snapped updated Board of Directors photos, shared plenty of laughs while networking with one another, and added a little extra fun with a spirited White Elephant game — because what’s December without a little surprise?

As we reflect with gratitude on everything 2025 has brought our chapter, we’re incredibly thankful for our members, partners, and supporters who make moments like these possible. We’re looking ahead with excitement as we prepare to kick off the 2026 IFMA East Tennessee chapter and all the opportunities it will bring!

📣 Join us this Thursday! 📣

Join us for an exclusive meeting with Knoxville Police Chief Paul Noel! Originally from New Orleans, he will update us on the progress he has made since moving to Knoxville. Although Knoxville is considered a “Safe City”, he has connected with the Community to understand where we have problems (such as gangs and homeless) and how he is trying to help with initiatives in these areas. He has reorganized the Police department to provide more freedom and interaction with the Community, which has helped to reduce crime, down by over 30%. He will update us on how he is building a new foundation of systems and policies to allow KPD to stand strong.

We had a wonderful luncheon today where we discussed all of the many incredible things Knox Area Rescue Ministries does for our homeless and in need community. From men and women, to young adults straight out of the foster care system and small children.

Karen Bowdle, was a fantastic speaker really engaging our room and enlightening our minds to the sheer magnitude that KARM is involved in between meals, nightly beds and rehabilitation.

Our very own board member, Debra Smith, has been a volunteer for 23 years!

Join us for our October Luncheon, this Thursday, October 19th, as we discuss homelessness and how it affects our facilities.

This is a sensitive topic in so many ways. You want to be compassionate but they are hurting your business and facilities. Karen Bowdle, with Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries (KARM) will discuss this issue in detail. There are some things a business can do. You can also be proactive as a business or personally to help resolve this issue.
