What an amazing group of volunteers! We are so very grateful, and frankly stunned by the number of people that came to help today despite the cold and snow. Thank you for remembering and honoring these veterans! I know many more wanted to come but couldn’t - we missed you, and we’ll see you next year!❤️🇺🇸❤️

The observance of National Wreaths Across America Day at Graceland Cemetery will continue as planned no matter what the weather brings. We will remember and honor the 230 veterans resting in the Veteran’s section by speaking their names and placing wreaths.

Saturday, December 13th
Wreath Placement 12pm

Rain, snow, wind, or cold, our servicemembers endured it all, often for months at a time. If they could stand watch in the harshest conditions, we can stand with them for a short time to honor their sacrifice.

We deeply appreciate our volunteers and want everyone to be safe. Please use your best judgment regarding weather and mobility. Your support matters, whether you’re able to be there in person or honoring from afar.

A huge THANK YOU to Coni and Marty Haronik for getting the ceremonial wreaths ready for Saturday! Please remember to dress in layers (many layers) 😬! It will be cold, and probably snowy, but it’s the least we can do to remember and honor these veterans! See you at 12:00 Saturday!

The wreaths are here! The wreaths are here! Thanks to Ty and Ross for unloading and storing them for us until Saturday. We had a new driver delivering for us this year, Dan Collier with United Van Lines. Dan is from Knoxville TN!
The headstones have all been cleared off and we are ready to go! Now, let’s just see what the weather has in mind for us!!

Don’t forget! Wreaths Across America Day is this Saturday, December 13th at Knoxville’s Graceland Cemetery. We will begin placing wreaths promptly at 12:00pm! Please dress for the weather, it might be a tad nippy out!
