March 20, 2026 became a tragic day for the Гуманітарна місія "Проліска" Proliska Humanitarian Mission and for the civilians we evacuate from dangerous areas.

At 7:46 a.m., the mission’s evacuation bus, clearly marked with humanitarian emblems and the sign “EVACUATION OF CIVILIANS,” was attacked in the Donetsk region. On board were the driver and four passengers who were being evacuated from a high-risk area.

As a result of a direct hit, a drone pierced the roof of the bus. One woman was killed at the scene. Another sustained severe injuries and, despite the efforts of medical personnel, died in the hospital. Two other passengers suffered injuries of varying severity. The vehicle was heavily damaged and is likely beyond repair.

This was not just shelling — it was a deliberate strike against a humanitarian mission and civilians. The vehicle was clearly identified as humanitarian, constituting a direct violation of international humanitarian law.

It is important to note that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, this is already the 100th attack on the Proliska Humanitarian Mission’s team, vehicles, warehouses, or offices — and the first one resulting in fatalities.
We want to express our support to all the mission’s workers. Humanitarian missions ARE NOT TARGETS for the military.
