Hello Helpers,
Helping Hands is getting geared up along with Pizza Hoss in Karns for our annual Trunk or Treat. We are looking for volunteer participants to decorate your trunk and hand out candy. We also could use candy donations if you not looking to set up a trunk.

Hello Helpers !!
We have been contacted by CAC Volunteer Assisted Transportation of Knoxville to see if we had volunteers interested in potentially helping out.

They provide assisted transportation to individuals who require extra support when they go to the grocery store, medical appointments, etc. We provide the training and the vehicle to drive. Schedules are flexible.

If you are interested in representing Helping Hands and volunteering to help out please put your name below and if we have enough interest, we will coordinate a meeting with CAC for more information and get you started with them.

if you are looking to get involved and are a crafter this program is still going on and our second collection date will be in June. You have time to get a project done and then keep an eye out on the night for drop off.

Hello Friends !
I wanted to take a moment and thank our friends at Fountain City Social 80s Cocktail Bar who graciously threw a fundraiser for us on April 4th. If you missed it, you missed a good time. It was a karaoke party hosted by our good friend, Dustin Godsey of Mr. G Party Solutions. Everyone had a blast singing, enjoy great cocktails and just good fun.

Through your participation and Fountain City Socials generosity $367.50 was raised to allow Helping Hands continue to work to make Knoxville a stronger and better community through our partnerships and programs.

Thank you to all of you and to the ownership and staff of Fountain City Social !!

Hello awesome people!!
The amazing crew at City Social 80's Bar reached out to ask if they could throw a fundraising event for us!! We of course said that would be awesome!! We are going to be there April 4th from 8pm to 1am doing Karaoke and having good time.
G Party Solutions ...our good friend Dustin Godsey will be leading the party with his high energy and awesome music setup. He will have all your favorite tunes on hand for you to belt out those tunes.

This party is for a good cause to raise money for Helping Hands, so FCS is graciously donating 15% of all sales to help us with our mission to make Knoxville and the surrounding area a better stronger community.

We look forward to seeing you out and helping support us and to have a good time.

Last quarter, we received $60 from supporters who linked their accounts to our charity via Kroger. It may not sound like a lot, but if more of us take 60 seconds to do this, it adds up in a big way.

Our annual FwFHH Winter Wonderland took place on December 13, 2025 and because of YOU, we raised $1,376 in donations!

Every dollar raised is already being put toward this year’s event scheduled to take place on December 12, 2026.

To everyone who donated, bid on the auctions, volunteered your time and the public who showed up and supported. Thank you. Truly. The turnout and overall community effort meant more than we can say. There aren’t many 100% free, family-friendly Christmas events in our area, and we’re incredibly proud to be one of them.

We’re already working behind the scenes to make 2026 the biggest one yet. We’re securing a location, built an amazing volunteer team, and planning:
✨ More entertainment
📸 More photo opportunities
🎨 More crafts
🎄 Even more holiday cheer

We’re also developing our special VIP experience for families and children in need this year. We can’t wait to share more details in the coming months.

Fun with Friends Helping Hands is partnering with Dorothy Clark at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville to provide crocheted & knitted lap-size afghans to local infusion centers.
These blankets go directly to patients receiving treatment — offering comfort, warmth, and a reminder that someone cares. 💕
✨ We’re building a community of crafters to help create an inventory of handmade afghans.
✨ Quarterly collections at our local FWF events.
✨ You’ll even be notified when your blanket is given to a patient in need.
🧵 Blanket Guidelines:
• Approx. 36” x 48” (lap size)
• New or very gently used
• Clean & fragrance-free
• Acrylic yarn preferred (hypoallergenic & easy to wash)
Not a crocheter or knitter? You can donate approved yarn instead!
