We’ll discuss the power of books, the realities of censorship in Tennessee, and the importance of upholding the freedom to read!

This banned book symposium will feature:
* A panel discussion from regional experts
* Fun and educational activities for the whole family
* A banned book and resource fair hosted by The Bottom, featuring other community organizations
* A keynote address from George M. Johnson

Lunch and coffee will be served and every attendee will get a free copy of one of George M. Johnson’s books ☕️

Looking back at last year’s Pie Party as we’re gearing up for our next one!

The Bottom’s Pie+ Party is a fundraiser to support our general operations, programming, and building funds on October 24th from 2-5pm at Caswell Park ✨

If you’re interested in learning more, here’s some ways you can support the event:

- Donate a pie or a sweet treat 🥧
- Volunteer with us during the event 🙋🏽
