Hello K4K Friends!
If you find yourself unable to participate in any of our FUNdraisers throughout the year but want to help, please contact us!

Currently, we are in need of some particular clothing and sizes for both boys and girls:
* Boys elastic waisted pants, sizes 6-12
* Boys socks, all sizes
* Boys underwear, sizes small and large
* Girls long sleeved shirts, sizes 8-16
* Girls socks, sizes small and medium
* Girls underwear, sizes 8 and 10

The money we raise goes to helping fill the clothing needs due to what is out of stock in our inventory. However, with the price of clothing these days, it doesn't go as far as we would like. Just 2 or three donations from each person would help tremendously!

Children have no control over their situations, so K4K is here to help with YOUR assistance! These are two examples of details behind clothing requests we receive.
1) A child being taken care of by the grandmother and has no clothes that fit; grandma has no extra money to buy clothing for the child. We work with the child's school to get the clothing to the family.
2) Three children and their mother were forced to leave their rental home immediately due to the foundation crumbling and being very dangerous to stay; they weren't allowed to go back in to get any of their belongings, so they only have the clothes that were on their backs. We work with the organization who made the request to get the clothing to the family.

This is what we are all about. Helping those in need. A lot of us are fortunate to have the means to buy what we need. Not everyone can do that. Children grow out of clothing very quickly, so it can be very expensive for those who don't have the adequate monetary resources.

Better late than never, right?
Well, congratulations to the winning teams from our last two FUNdraising volleyball tournaments on June 20 (sand 4s) and September 12 (grass triathlon).

Sand 4s, June 20
1st place team - Ryan, Steve, Elizabeth & Jesse
2nd place team - Josh, Sarah, Chris, Jordon

Grass Triathlon, Sept 12
1st place (men) - Josh
1st place (women) - Michaila
2nd place TIE (men) - Elijah, Nick, Ryan, Caleb & Jordan
2nd place TIE (women) - Diana & Maddie

“I cannot overstate what a gift you all are to our community and families! It is such an encouragement that we can come to you all in these situations and provide them with the dignity that they need and deserve. A huge thank you to you!”

This is SO true! These children do not ask to be in poverty situations. They deserve to have self confidence and to be able to hold their head high and not be embarrassed that they have to wear clothes and shoes that do not fit or are torn and stained.

An a similar note, we could use some boys shorts, athletic pants, t-shirts (short & long-sleeve) in sizes 6 & 8.

Dear K4K friends,

Now is the time when you can find clearance clothing from the winter on the racks. We coukd use long-sleeved boys and girls shirts and elastic-waist athletic pants/joggers/sweatpants for boys.
