Excuse me (Mandy) while I’m sobbing happy tears. I put so much blood, sweat, and tears into this rescue day in and day out, we see so many other rescues that get so much financial help, and as we do (with time) meet all our goals wether if it’s from my personal hard earned money or by doing fundraisers we always get the funds we need to continue help saving lives with our vet partners!

We were able to apply Charlie’s adoption fee to our largest bill at PPAW but still had a little under $500 & was also able to take care of Charlie’s visit at West Hills she had to check for hip dysplasia.

NOW- we can pay off our bill in full at PPAW and have a little tucked away for whatever is needed next!! 🥺❤️😭❤️🐾

I (Mandy Rush) have been working behind the scenes to get more funds in our rescues account so we can continue to save heartworm positive dogs from high kill shelters and give them another chance at life!!! I wanted to mention a few things I’ve been doing to do this, but the main one I’m super excited to share is my new ebook!

Most vets do their best to explain things to the general public on how heartworms are contracted , and what treatment for a positive dog looks like, however not everyone fully understands what it means. Why it happens. How much it costs. What happens after treatment. How prevention costs VS treatment costs are significantly different. How hard it is on the dogs body. Etc.

This ebook here is not long at all, it’s super simplified, but gets the raw and real of heartworm positive dogs treatment journey & for new dog owners to understand why preventions are so important.

Franny is still looking for her forever home!!!
It’s been right over a year now and she’s had no success finding the perfect fit for her.

She needs a home with lots of love, preferably a farm where she can be worked (she’d love to learn how to herd some cattle!)

She would also benefit from someone who can just work her daily too. Truthfully she’s just a ball a nerves if she isn’t properly exercised mentally & physically.

Athena needs a foster ASAP. Time is of the essence. She has heartworms, and is due for treatment now. However she NEEDS a foster home that’s quiet & preferably no other pets since she will need low activity and minimal stress for the following 6 weeks after treatment.

She needs slow intros with other dogs and we just don’t have the time needed to set her up for success until after treatment and recovery.

She’s so sweet, so loving. So DESERVING of being healthy and finding a home. If you can open up your home & heart to this sweet girl, please message us!!!
