It was a beautiful day in the park as the Knox Civic Club and Knox Public Library honored Dorothy Flick with the dedication of the Dorothy Flick Memorial Reading Nook.
Mrs. Flick is remembered as a longtime friend to all who knew her, wife, mother, dedicated teacher, civic club member, and lifelong literacy advocate.
The relaxing reading nook is located near the children's swings and beside the Little Lending Library. It has two outdoor benches perfectly sized for children.
The cozy area combines two of the things Mrs. Flick dearly treasured; young people and reading.
The Knox Community Park, affectionately known as Peanut Park, is on Cemetery Street in Knox, Pennsylvania and is open daylight until dark.
