Transgender Research Project The Transgender Research Project was established by Gail Baker, LPC, in 2012.

The following doctoral research study is currently open for volunteers:

INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE
IN TRANSGENDER STUDY

• Volunteers are sought for participation in a doctoral research study. The study will investigate experiences related to growing up as a transgendered or gender non-conforming person in the U.S..
• If you are an independent adult, from 21 and 45 years of age, and actively unde

rgoing gender transition or have completed transition within the past 4 months, and if you are interested in being a part of this study, please complete and return the following form to: Gail Baker, 100 S. Monroe, Knob Noster, MO 65336; or via e-mail to: [email protected].

My dissertation is done and my doctoral degree now in hand. The dissertation--"Transgender Adult Perspectives on Identity Development and Gender Transition"--can be accessed through the ProQuest database. My next project is to get this research information into critical political, legal, and academic forums.

I just realized I never closed the call for participants for my dissertation study. Sorry about that. However, I can now say that my dissertation is in the final stages. Thanks greatly to all those who encouraged and volunteered!
