💙 Our Seniors! Our Community! Our Volunteers!

K**b Noster Senior Care may be small, but we are growing and we are incredibly thankful for the volunteers who continue to step up and serve our seniors.

💙Right now, our volunteers are helping two local seniors through a big transition into their new home. After everything they’ve been through medically, we are so excited to celebrate this new chapter with them! Volunteers have been giving their evenings to paint, clean, pack, help with the move, and prepare both homes. This is exactly what Senior Care is all about, neighbors helping neighbors when they need it most.

Throughout the year, our volunteers also help with:
• Transportation to medical appointments and errands
• Grocery pickup and delivery
• Meal delivery
• Yard work and basic household needs
• Moving, cleaning, and other needs as they arise

Our goal is simple, to be a blessing to seniors who may not have the family, resources, or support nearby to do these things alone.

We are always welcoming new volunteers! All volunteers are required to complete a background check form, which Senior Care takes care of processing. Once approved, we’ll connect with you about opportunities to serve and how you can get involved.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has already volunteered and to those who have recently reached out wanting to join us. Your time, kindness, and willingness to serve truly matter. 💙

✨ Community, We Could Use Your Help!

K**b Noster Senior Care is looking for a few helping hands to assist two local seniors as they prepare to move into their new home later this month. Due to life circumstances and healthcare they are unable to do the work themselves.

We’re hoping to find volunteers or recommendations for a local painter or painting company who may be willing to help give their small three bedroom home a fresh coat of paint, including the baseboards. A little light cleaning assistance would also be appreciated, but our greatest need is help with the painting.

If you or someone you know has experience painting and would be willing to donate a little time, talent, or resources, we would love to hear from you.

Thank you for always showing what makes our community so special. Together, we can help make this new chapter a little easier for these deserving seniors.

Urgent Prayer Request 🙏

K**b Noster Senior Care is asking our community to come together in prayer for one of our local seniors.

She suffered a fall today and is currently in the emergency room, she broke her hip and will be undergoing surgery. She has already faced many challenges, and this unexpected injury has left her understandably scared and in a great deal of pain.

We ask that you please lift her up in prayer. Pray for peace and comfort, strength during this difficult time, wisdom and steady hands for her surgical team, and for a successful surgery and a smooth, complete recovery.

Please keep her and her loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. Our seniors are a treasured part of our community, and together we can surround her with love, hope, and encouragement.

Today was a beautiful reminder of what community is all about.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to every volunteer who gave their Saturday to serve our local seniors during K**b Noster Senior Care’s first Senior Yard Care Day. Because of your generosity, hard work, and servant hearts, we were able to bless six local homes today.

From business owners, the Mayor, City Administrator, Senior Care board members, civic organizations, and volunteers from neighboring communities each of you played a part in making today a success. Your willingness to give up your time, work hard, and serve others did not go unnoticed.

A very special thank you to Kyle with Whiteman Lawn Care, who dedicated his entire day, brought equipment and trailers, and tackled multiple yards. Your generosity and commitment made an incredible impact, and we are so grateful.

To every volunteer, thank you for your time, your compassion, and your willingness to be the hands and feet of our community. Our seniors were truly thankful, and so are we.

As K**b Noster Senior Care continues to grow, we welcome anyone with a heart to serve. Being involved doesn’t mean attending every meeting, it simply means joining a community that comes together to support and bless our local seniors whenever the opportunity arises.

Thank you for making today one our seniors and our community won’t forget.

K**b Noster Senior Care Yard Cleanup Day 🌿

Do you know a local senior who could use a helping hand around the yard?

On Saturday, August 1, from 9:00am to 12:00pm our volunteers will be out serving seniors in our community by providing FREE basic yard cleanup services, including

🍃 Mowing & w**d whacking
🌳 Limb, bush & light tree trimming
🌼 Weeding & flower planting
🧹 Blowing off sidewalks & entryways
🪟 Washing outdoor window and other light outdoor projects.

Whether a senior is unable to do the work themselves or would simply appreciate the extra help, we’d love the opportunity to be a blessing.

☀️ Extreme Heat Reminder

With temperatures and the heat index continuing to rise, K**b Noster Senior Care wants to help ensure our local seniors stay safe and cool this summer.

If you or someone you know is a senior in need of a box fan or bottled water, please reach out to us. We also have a ceiling fan available that has been generously donated, and we can assist with installation if needed.

Supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first come, first-served basis.

A Heartfelt Thank You to First Christian Church!

The K**b Noster Senior Care Board would like to extend our deepest gratitude to First Christian Church of K**b Noster for their incredible generosity and kindness.

During this year’s Vacation Bible School, the children, families, volunteers, and church members came together with a goal, to make a difference in our community. Together, they chose to donate the VBS offerings to K**b Noster Senior Care, raising an incredible $1,260.00 to support our local seniors.

What an amazing blessing! 💙

To every child who gave so willingly, every parent who encouraged generosity, and every volunteer and church leader who made this possible, thank you. Your compassion and servant’s heart are already making a lasting impact on the lives of so many seniors in our community.

Knowing that our younger generation understands the importance of loving and caring for others gives us so much hope for the future. Your gifts will help provide assistance, support, and resources to local seniors who need it most.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, First Christian Church, for believing in our mission and for showing what it truly means to love your neighbors. Your generosity is a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to serve others.
