Camp Gamble: S bar F Scout Ranch is a premier summer camp destination in the Midwest. The aquatics programs includes the usual merit badges of swimming, lifesaving, canoeing, and rowing. Kayaking, small-boat sailing, motor boating, and water sports merit badges are all available! However, there is more to summer camp than just merit badges! Camp Gamble offers free swim and free boating, as well as water skiing, Kayak Water Polo, Iceberg climbing wall/slide, and the water park Huck's Cove. Camp Gamble reinvented the first-year camper program, known as the Voyageur program. First year Scouts split into patrols and work through Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class requirements, as well as Swimming and Woodcarving merit badges. Troops whose first year Scouts participate in the Camp Gamble Voyageur program see improved Scout retention. Camp Gamble features premier Nature and Scout Craft areas. Both areas sit along the shore of Nims Lake with beautiful views and great fishing. The Scout Craft area is known for its awesome pioneering projects, which have featured swing sets, a monkey bridge, a carousel, a zip line, and more! Each area offers a wide variety of merit badges. The Older Scout program is a great opportunity for older Scouts returning to camp for their fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh years.
