The Knightdale - Wake Forest Education Foundation and the Knightdale-Wake Forest Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make the 2nd Annual Footsteps to Foundation 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, June 20, 2026, a tremendous success.

With more than 200 registrants, this event brought together Runners, Walkers, Volunteers, Sponsors, Community Partners, and Supporters united in promoting health, wellness, education, and community impact throughout Northeast Wake County.

Enjoy live music, craft vendors, community resources, and delicious food. This event is a wonderful opportunity to showcase and honor the rich traditions of the African American community. ❤️🤍The Knightdale-Wake Forest Education Foundation in partnership with the Knightdale-Wake Forest Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. , is hosting the 2nd Annual Footsteps to Foundation 5K.❤️🤍

Date & Location:
June 20, 2026, at Knightdale Station Park (Knightdale, NC).

Purpose:
Promote health, wellness, and education while raising funds for Northeast Wake County programs.

Event Features:
5K walk/run, 1-mile fun run, awards, resource fair, and live music.

Participation:
Open to all ages and fitness levels with both in-person and virtual options.

Registration Fees:
$35 (early), $40 (regular), $45 (race day); youth (12 & under) receive a $15 discount.

Incentive:
Free event t-shirt for participants who register by June 1.

Impact:
Proceeds support education, health, wellness, and economic growth initiatives for low-to-moderate income individuals and families.
