Our Weekend Wilderness Warriors were at it again! 12 hearty souls ventured into the Mountain Lakes Wilderness for 3 days to clear 6 miles of trail. They finished clearing the upper sections of Varney, Mnt Lakes and Clover Creek Trails and portions of the Loop Trail. The Loop Trail is now fully cleared from the Clover Creek Trail Jct north to the Mnt Lakes Trail Jct east to Varney Creek Trail Jct and south to Lake Hariette! See map below for all the trails cleared in Mountain Lakes Wilderness.

Drum Roll Please! Today we reached 154 Miles of Forest Service trails maintained! 🥳While there is a core KTA volunteer crew accomplishing this work, there have been substantial contributions by the Siskiyou Mountain Club staff and thier Wilderness Conservation Corps, the Pacific Crest Trail Association, and High Desert Trail Riders - Back Country Horsemen of Oregon. See pics for what has been cleared to date.

We'll be partnering with Siskiyou Mountain Club to clear the PCT between Twin Ponds Trail and Lost Creek. We could use a few more helpers!
