🌱 We truly believe in the work that our partners Klamath Grown are doing to support local farmers, strengthen our local food system, and connect our community—including IYS programs—with fresh, locally grown food.

Klamath Grown is currently holding its Fall Harvest Fundraiser, and there are two great ways to show your support:

🍂 Save the date for their Farm-to-Table Harvest Party on Saturday, October 24, from 1–4 p.m. at The Tasting Room, 404 Main Street.

💚 Become a donor! The next 10 people to sign up as $10/month supporters will have their monthly gifts matched by Scanlan Financial Group!

Learn more or become a regular donor at klamathgrown.org/donate.

Thank you, Klamath Grown, for everything you provide to our programs and our community. We are proud to support your work!

Congratulations to Henley High School and Lost River Jr./Sr. High School! 🙌🎉

Each school has received a $125,000 CTE Revitalization Grant—that’s $250,000 supporting hands-on, career-connected learning for local students!

🐄 Henley will expand its agricultural program, including new opportunities in livestock production, agricultural mechanics, welding, and fabrication.

🛠️ Lost River will modernize its wood and metal shops with updated workspaces, tools, storage, ventilation, and equipment.

We love seeing investments that give young people practical experience and help prepare them for future careers. Congratulations to both schools and everyone who helped make this possible!

📚 Have you heard about GoodBooks for Kids?

Our friends at Southern Oregon Goodwill help local children build their own home libraries—one free book at a time and we love it!

Here’s how the program works:

📖 Children can pick out one free book every day at any Southern Oregon Goodwill location.
🔖 Each child receives a bookmark to track the books they read.
⭐ After collecting and reading 25 books, they earn a $5 Goodwill gift certificate!

It’s a wonderful way to encourage reading, make books more accessible, and reward kids for reaching their reading goals. Be sure to ask about the GoodBooks for Kids program the next time you visit Goodwill!

Thank you to Goodwill for programs like these! This and other Goodwill programs are some of the things that help our residents on their pathways to independence.
