Exciting Grant Opportunities Coming to Klamath County!
Klamath County is thrilled to announce two fantastic grant opportunities aimed at boosting our community’s economic growth and tourism: the Economic Development and Tourism Grant Programs.
Economic Development Grants
Are you a local business ready to take the next big step? Our Economic Development Grants are designed to help regional businesses with startup or expansion funds. We’re looking for projects that promise job creation, business growth, and a vibrant economic future for Klamath County. If your project has a clear target market and a solid strategy to reach it, we want to hear from you! These grants are funded by the Oregon State Lottery Fund.
Tourism Grants
Got a unique event or project that could attract tourists to Klamath County? Our Tourism Grants are here to help! We’re seeking innovative ideas for events and activities that will draw visitors, especially during the shoulder season from October to May. Infrastructure projects are also highly encouraged. These grants are funded by the countywide transient room tax, administered by the Klamath County Tax Collector.
Key Dates for Both Grant Programs:
- Application Cycle:Opens September 1, 2026, and closes at 5:00 PM on Sept. 30, 2026. No late applications or documents will be accepted.
- Mandatory Grant Orientation:Sept. 11, 2026, at 9:00 AM in Room 219 of the County Government Complex. Please note: To be considered eligible, all applicants for Klamath County Tourism and/or Economic Development Grants are required to attend the Grant Orientation Class before the closing date of the cycle for which they are applying. Applicants are only required to attend one Grant Orientation Classper calendar yearin which their application is being submitted.
