Goals
The Kitzmiller After School Program is a nonprofit 501 organization, that is funded through donations, fundraisers, and grants. Grants are never guaranteed yearly so we count on fundraising.
Our program takes place at our former school building, it gives the children in out small community a safe and secure place to go after school. Open to all students in grades k-8, the program runs year round. Children that attend receive snacks, drinks, tutoring, crafts, recreational activities, STEAM activities, access to the library, games, team building activities and much more.
Through partnerships with the Ruth Enlow Library, the Maryland Extension Services, and other agencies, we provide students with fun educational opportunities to explore a variety of subjects. For example last summer we started a Community Garden Project. Next school year our theme will be “What I Never Knew About Kitzmiller”.
