The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) reports that U.S. fire departments respond to an average of 160 Christmas tree fires each year. Dried-out trees pose a significant fire hazard and should never be left in your home, garage or placed outside near your house.
Help the Kittery Fire Department keep you safe this winter by properly disposing of your tree after the holidays. The Kittery Fire Department and Kittery Fire Auxiliary are hosting a Kittery Christmas tree pickup event.

We ask that trees are left at the end of your lawn/driveway by 8am on the day you sign up for. However, if you are unable to do so, please send us an email. Donations to the Kittery Fire Auxiliary will be accepted, but are not required. Thank you!
