We are deeply grateful to receive $1 million in Maine opioid settlement funding to support the expansion of services and further strengthen the coordinated, community-centered approach at Mainspring.

This investment reflects a growing recognition that recovery is strengthened when people have access to stable housing, nutritious food, coordinated services, and a community that walks alongside them. Recovery does not happen in isolation, and at Mainspring, we are proud to serve as a model centered on collaboration and comprehensive support, one that helps ensure individuals and families are not navigating complex systems alone and are able to access the resources needed to thrive.

We are incredibly thankful to the Maine Attorney General’s Office, Representative Michele Meyer for her support in helping make this investment possible, and all of the partners who believe in this vision for a more connected and supportive approach to community care and wellbeing.

Mainspring will use the financial boost to expand its integrated recovery support model, which includes case management, housing services and recovery support, the attorney general's office announced Wednesday.

Check out our menus for the upcoming Breakfast CafƩ meals in May! We hope you join us sometime through out the month!

In 2026 alone, our team at the Mainspring Breakfast CafƩ has served over 800 meals! We have been serving breakfast every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 - 9 am for just over a year now, and in that time, it has been incredible to watch the sense of community and care take root and grow.

Each week, our dedicated team of volunteers serve more than 50 meals, creating not only a reliable and nutritious start to the day, but also a welcoming space for connection.

Thank you to everyone who joins us and helps make this such a meaningful space, and to the volunteers who give their time and energy each week to ensure these breakfasts continue.
