Our biggest fall fundraiser yet!

Mainspring is thrilled to share that we raised more than $7,500 for our Emergency Support Fund at Pumpkins for a Purpose on October 4!

For another year, Michele Meyer opened up her beautiful property at Back Fields Farm for the event, and what a day it was! In just three short hours, our community came together for pumpkin picking and painting, face painting, live music, sweet treats, and so much more. 🍂

Every dollar raised will help our neighbors navigate unexpected challenges, from a sudden medical emergency to a car breakdown or another unforeseen expense that threatens their stability.

Thank you to everyone who came out, donated, volunteered, and helped make this our most successful Emergency Fund fundraiser yet! We’re so grateful for this community and can’t wait to see you next year. ❤️

A big thank you to Lil's Cafe and Dudley Street Pizza for helping make a recent event at Mainspring so special!

Lil’s Cafe treated our guests to incredible crullers, while Dudley Street Pizza kept everyone happy with delicious pizza. More than that, they brought their generosity and community spirit to the table.

As the needs of our communities grow, Mainspring is growing to meet them.

Today, 37% of people in York County cannot afford the basic costs of living, and 697 new households have turned to Mainspring for food support in the last year.

In a new Seacoast Online article, Co-Executive Directors Emily Flinkstrom and Megan Shapiro share what they’re seeing across the region and how Mainspring is responding to the increasing and urgent need.
