The Kittanning Rotary Club is proud to participate in the ACCF Week of Giving taking place May 11–15, and we’re asking for your support as we continue making a difference throughout Armstrong County.

During this special week, donations made to the Kittanning Rotary Club are partially matched, allowing your gift to make an even greater impact in our community. Donations help support scholarships, youth leadership programs, community assistance efforts, and local service projects throughout Armstrong County.

We hope you’ll consider donating during the Week of Giving and partnering with us as we continue living out Rotary’s mission of Service Above Self.

Thank you for your continued support!

On Monday, April 6th, we had the pleasure of having Donna Weckerly join us to talk about America 250 PA. As the time is coming to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, we need to venture out and look at the rich history we have right here in Armstrong County.

Please check out the website at https://armstrong250.com/.

From the website:

“Armstrong County’s history cannot be defined by a single building or a single moment. It is reflected in our boroughs, communities, industries, traditions, landscapes, and enduring creative spirit.
The Armstrong County 250 Celebration is guided by the Armstrong County Commissioners in partnership with Armstrong County 250 Committee Chair Donna Weckerly. Together, they share a commitment to honoring the county’s rich past while uniting every borough, township, community, organization, and event planner in a coordinated, countywide observance.
In 2026, boroughs, communities, organizations, and event planners across Armstrong County are encouraged to incorporate America’s 250th anniversary into their existing annual events and traditions—creating a year-long celebration that reflects both local pride and national heritage.
Visitors are invited to explore the sections below to learn how Armstrong County helped shape Pennsylvania—and America—through generations of hard work, dedication, resilience, and a strong sense of community that continues to define us today.
Follow Armstrong County 250 on Facebook for official announcements, event highlights, and updates.
Join our public Facebook Group to connect with borough leaders, organizations, and event planners, share ideas, and coordinate celebrations across the county.”

We are excited at the possibility of this happening! Thank you to Andrea and Abby for taking the lead in trying to make this a reality!!
