The North Jersey Kayak Bass Fishing Club (NJKBFC) held Stop #7 of the 2026 Trail Series on Sunday (9/12) at Swartswood Lake. It was a beautiful day, with 19 anglers in attendance.

The skies were overcast and the winds were mild with great expectations from the start. But the fish had something else in mind. It was a tough bite all day for everyone with only 35 bass caught and only one 5-fish limit put on the board.

Leading the pack with 5 bass in First place was Greg Polec with 87.00". Coming in Second place with 4 bass was Michael Kovalovsky with 61.25". And completing the top 3 in Third place with 3 bass went to Jeff Niebanck with 50.75". Taking the Lunker prize this time was Greg Polec with his giant beast coming in at 21.00".

Congratulations to the top leaders, and everyone who attended to grind it out. The fish may not have wanted to cooperate, but it was a beautiful day to be on the water.

The next stop to the 2026 Trail Series season will be at Lake Hopatcong on Sunday September 27th, which should be another day filled with lots of largemouth and smallmouth.

The North Jersey Kayak Bass Fishing Club (NJKBFC) held Stop #6 of the 2026 Trail Series on Sunday (8/16) at the Delaware River. It was a beautiful day for a river float event, with 17 anglers in attendance.

The skies were overcast and the winds were mild making the conditions ideal for some good smallmouth fishing. While a few people struggled, there was no shortage of fish with 81 bass caught and eleven 5-fish limits put on the board.

Leading the pack with 5 bass in First place was Adam Schwerthoffer with 77.50". Coming in a very close Second place with 5 bass was David Allen with 77.00". And completing the top 3 in Third place with 5 bass went to Damian Serafin with 75.00". Taking the Lunker prize this time was David Allen with his beast coming in at 17.75".

Congratulations to the top leaders, and everyone who attended to grind it out. It was a little different setting than the usual lakes but it was a nice change and there were still many fish put on the boards.

The next stop to the 2026 Trail Series season will be at Swartswood Lake on Saturday September 12th, which should be another day filled with lots of largemouth and smallmouth.

The North Jersey Kayak Bass Fishing Club (NJKBFC) held Stop #4 of the 2026 Trail Series on Sunday (6/14) at Round Valley Reservoir. It was a beautiful day to be on the water, with 25 anglers in attendance.

The lake is definitely changing up toward summer fishing, and while several struggled just to get a few bites, 67 bass were caught with nine 5-fish limits put on the board.

Leading the pack with 5 bass in First place was Greg Polec with 86.00". Coming in Second place with 5 bass was Arek Sokol with 84.50". And completing the top 3 in Third place with 5 bass went to Ronny Ruiz with 84.25". Taking the Lunker prize this time was Ronny Ruiz with his beast coming in at 19.50".

Congratulations to the top leaders, and everyone who attended to grind it out. It was a little tough getting fish to commit but there still was no shortage of fish.

The next stop to the 2026 Trail Series season will be at Spruce Run Reservoir on Sunday July 19th, which should be another day filled with some really nice largemouth and smallmouth.

The North Jersey Kayak Bass Fishing Club (NJKBFC) held Stop #3 of the 2026 Trail Series on Sunday (5/24) at Splitrock Reservoir. It was a cold, wet and windy day, with starting air temps in the upper 40s giving the water a morning chill. 14 anglers showed up to brave the elements and the treacherous carting in challenge.

While a few struggled just to get a few bites, 86 bass were caught with ten 5-fish limits put on the board.

Leading the pack with 5 bass in First place was Greg Polec with 91.25". Coming in Second place with 5 bass was Russ Beverly with 88.50". And completing the top 3 in Third place with 5 bass went to Arek Sokol with 85.25". Taking the Lunker prize this time was Greg Polec with his beast coming in at 19.75".

Congratulations to the top leaders, and everyone who attended to grind it out. The weather made it a challenging day, but that's fishing, and there was no shortage of fish.

The next stop to the 2026 Trail Series season will be at Round Valley Reservoir on Sunday June 14th, which should be another day filled with some really nice largemouth and smallmouth.

The North Jersey Kayak Bass Fishing Club (NJKBFC) held Stop #2 of the 2026 Trail Series on Sunday (4/26) at Lake Musconetcong. It was a cold day, with starting air temps in the upper 30s giving the water a morning chill. 25 anglers showed up to grind it out..

While most struggled all day just to get a few bites, 43 bass were caught with four 5-fish limits put on the board.

The top two places were only decided by an inch. Leading the pack with 5 bass in First place was Greg Polec with 83.00". In this nail biter coming in Second place with 5 bass was Damian Serafin with 82.00". And completing the top 3 in Third place with 5 bass went to Sam Giordano with 79.00". Taking the lunker prize this time was Russ Buchinsky with his beast coming in at 19.75".

Congratulations to the top leaders, and everyone who attended to grind it out. It was a painfully challenging day, but that's fishing.

The next stop to the 2026 Trail Series season will be at Splitrock Reservoir on Sunday May 24th, which should be a day filled with some really nice largemouth and smallmouth, for those willing to tough it down to the launch.

The North Jersey Kayak Bass Fishing Club (NJKBFC) kicked off the 2026 Trail Series on Sunday (4/12) with Stop #1 at Manasquan Reservoir. It was a chilly and very windy day, with starting water temps in the low 50s. 26 anglers showed up to brave the winds.

While everybody struggled all day just to get a few bites, 46 bass (both LM and SM) were caught with three 5-fish limits put on the board.

The top two place finishes were tied in total inches and also in their largest fish (19.50"). The tie breaker came down to each of their second largest fish. Breaking the tie and leading the pack with 5 bass in First place was Greg Polec with 82.50". In this nail biter coming in Second place with 5 bass was Russ Beverly also with 82.50". And completing the top 3 in Third place with 5 bass went to Allen Chesner with 74.00". Taking the lunker prize this time was Ryan Melia with his beast coming in at 20.00".

Congratulations to the top leaders, and everyone who attended to grind it out. It was a painfully challenging day, but that's fishing.

The next stop to the 2026 Trail Series season will be at Lake Musconetcong on Sunday April 26th, which should be a day filled with some really nice largemouth..

Congrats to 2 time NJKBFC AOY champ & for representing the NJKBFC at the Bassmaster Kayak Series event in Kissimmee Florida this weekend!! Greg took 3rd with a 2 day total of 190.50" anchored by a 23" brute! Ryan took 11th with 168" and 3 bass 20" and over. Our club is proud to have these 2 hammers as members! 💪🏽💪🏽

Keep cheering for NJKBFC's AOY member Greg Polec as he is in the final hours of the Bassmaster Kayak Series 2-day event in Kissimmee, FL. He is holding 3rd and just added a 23.00" beast to his bag. Keep grinding Greg. Your club and friends are all rooting for you. Go get 'em!
