Minority Development Center's primary objective is to assist individuals and families in making a positive transition to mainstream stream society accepting cultural assimilation, while still retaining their cultural pride and heritage. To understand that this is a melting pot of diverse cultures, that contribute to the make up of the larger society, and to accept a value system that is may be different in some ways, but is necessary for the good of the whole. Also to unlearn negative thoughts, feeling and behaviors and learn positive thoughts, feeling and behaviors that they have developed and realize that they have valuable and worthwhile contributions for the good and betterment of this country.

​MDCI Family Restoration Project consists of several components: 1) A Children and Youth Educational, Recreational Day Care Center 2) An Adult Learning Institute 3) An Elder Care Facility (nursing home, Assisted Living and Urgent Care), and a Shopping Center. MDCI, through public and private partnerships, will revitalize the community and create opportunities for capital investments, green and eco-friendly construction projects, and access to public education, health and recreational services. MDCI’s Family Restoration Project will also be instrumental in the development of affordable housing, employment and community infrastructure.
