On Tuesday, Major A.J. Ingle presented the Squadron with the Composite Squadron of the Year Award for Florida Wing.
463rd Composite Squadron Commander, Major Adamus, had this to say:
Senior Members and Cadets,
On behalf of the Senior Staff and Cadet Staff, I would like to acknowledge everyone's hard work that made this award possible. I am very proud of all of you. We have overcome some very big obstacles over the past couple of years. But, now we're back and as strong as ever. There's still room for improvement, as it should be. We should always have a goal or two to strive for. None the less, this award and the recognition it has brought to our squadron is due to everyone's efforts.
I also want to congratulate C/2nd Lt. Reedy on his Mitchell Award, and the unit's first SPAATZ Award recipient C/Col. Kousiry. We truly have a lot to be proud of.
Finally, a thank you to C/Col. Kousiry for all his hard work and dedication to CAP and the 463rd especially. We wish him well as he enters the next phase of his life at the US Naval Academy Prep School. As he steps down as Cadet Commander, we welcome back C/Lt. Col. Campbell to the position.
And now, let us continue to build and grow to show we are deserving of the title "Florida Wing Composite Squadron of the Year."
