History was made July 2011 in Osceola County where the first Puerto Rican day parade was held on the streets near Osceola Heritage Park. Added to the event was a spectacular gala at Osceola Hertiage Parks Exhibition Hall which was transformed into a magnificent ball room with performance by the Philharmonica Orchestra de Puerto Rico. This event which included a two day festival / Business expo and
health fair brought an estimated 30,00 spectators to Osceola Heritage Park. In July 2012 The Desfile Committee held its 2nd annual event, which started with this years gala held at the lake Buena Vista hotel resort and Spa. This event brought together various politicians ,community leaders, and supporters of the Desfile of Osceola organization and included the presentation of our Boriken awards to honro those that the community has recognized for their efforts in the community in both business and the arts.
