Osceola Council On Aging The Osceola Council on Aging, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3, non-profit, private charitable organization dedicated to providing social services to Osceola County.

Created in 1971, the Osceola Council on Aging, Inc. is the largest social services organization in Osceola County, providing a wide array of services and programs to meet the needs of our community. Though the name implies services for just the elderly, our scope of services extend to families as well, helping during crisis to enable generations of residents to cope with challenges.

Thank you to everyone who helped prepare the baskets, set up the apartments, coordinate donations, and get everything ready for our new residents.

Today is a day we have dreamed about for a very long time.

After years of planning, persistence, partnerships, construction, and countless people believing in what Buen Vecino could become, we are officially welcoming our very first resident home.

This moment is about so much more than opening the door to an apartment. It represents a safe, affordable place to live, a new beginning, and the fulfillment of a promise we made to the seniors of our community.

Buen Vecino Apartments was more than 20 years in the making. Today, all of those years became real as our first resident began calling Buen Vecino home.

To every partner, supporter, board member, staff member, donor, and community leader who helped carry this vision forward: thank you. You helped turn an idea into 60 affordable homes for seniors in Osceola County.

And to our first resident: Welcome home.

This is the first key, the first move-in, and the beginning of a brand-new chapter at Buen Vecino.

Every dollar raised through this event will benefit our Meals on Wheels program, helping us deliver nutritious meals, friendly visits, and vital support to seniors throughout our community.

Aloha from our Senior Dining Club!
We had a fantastic time today celebrating with a Hawaiian-themed party! Our seniors enjoyed hula dancing, musical chairs, a lively dance contest with some great prizes, delicious food, and plenty of laughter and fellowship.

Our Congregate Dining Clubs are about so much more than a meal—they’re a place to stay active, make friends, have fun, and be part of a community.

BINGO CELEBRITY GUEST STAR!

We had a special guest join us today at the Kissimmee Senior Dining Club. City of Kissimmee Commissioner Janette Martinez stepped into the spotlight as our Bingo Celebrity Guest Star!

The Commissioner helped call the numbers, shared plenty of laughs, and brought some extra excitement to an already fun afternoon with our seniors. We truly appreciate her taking the time to spend the day with us and help make Bingo even more memorable.

Thank you, Commissioner Martinez, for bringing the fun and being such a great sport!
