Friends of ELES & Best Buddies......
Our caring ❤️ 🦅 eagles have helped Rosie & her mom collect items for places where she recieved treatment during her battle. This month her mom is collecting squishies and books for the oncology dept at Arnold Palmer for children in Rosie's honor. She will be collecting them for 3 more weeks and then hand delivering them. She has compiled a list on Amazon to make it easy!
Please help Rosie's mom brighten the day for other children who are receiving treatment like Rosie did. Getting just 1 item on the list will help! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who donated to our ELES Best Buddies Candy Drive last month! This project provided our students with multiple learning opportunities:
❤️ Our class worked on sorting & counting supplies & materials in preparation for production.
❤️ This brought buddies together for the first time & was a great introduction to what it means to be a buddy.
❤️ Our buddies from other classrooms helped our students package goodie bags. (counting, following directions, reading instructions, etc.)
❤️ We talked about empathy as the students made pictures & sweet notes to put in the bags to share with the families of sick children.
❤️ We focused on being grateful & appreciative, as well as using good manners, when all the buddies worked together to write thank you notes to the families that donated candy and made this event possible.

Last week a small group of our Best Buddies got together for the first time. Using the goodies we collected last month during our Candy Drive, we began making treat bags. These will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House and then given out to the families staying there. ❤️
