NEWS FROM OVERNIGHT — A crash that occurred on East U.S. Highway 192 around 11 p.m. last night near the Osceola County Sheriff's Office involved a deputy who ended up as collateral damage in an incident between a couple involved in a domestic dispute. police say.
OCSO received a 911 call from a woman in her car that reported she was chased by her ex-boyfriend who said he was shooting at her vehicle. The suspect rammed the victim’s car, forcing it into the eastbound lanes of 192 and into the path of a deputy patrol vehicle.
The deputy was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two people in the victim’s car had to be extricated from the vehicle and transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The suspect was apprehended at his residence in St. Cloud. More information is forthcoming, an OCSO spokesperson said a short time ago.
