We are proud to welcome Theresa Chesnut and All Spotts-DeLazzer as the closing presenters for this year's Gateway to Innovation Eating Disorders Conference.

Theresa Chesnut, MSW, LCSW, CEDS-C is a licensed clinical social worker, Certified Eating Disorders Specialist and Consultant, and Certified Internal Family Systems Therapist with over 30 years of experience treating eating disorders across the full continuum of care. She is the founder of The Chesnut Group and the Tri-State Eating Disorder Conference.

Alli Spotts-De Lazzer, LMFT, LPCC, CEDS-C is a licensed psychotherapist, Certified Eating Disorders Specialist and Approved Consultant, and Adjunct Faculty at Antioch University. She is a regular Psychology Today columnist and lead author of the forthcoming My Child Has an Eating Disorder: An Essential Guide for Parents of Kids, Teens, and Adults (Bloomsbury Academic, 2026).

Together, they will present: An Evolving, Practice-Based Approach to Eating Disorder Treatment: Expanding Family Involvement in Outpatient Care.

When outpatient eating disorder care is fragmented across providers and families, recovery can quietly stall, even when everyone involved is working hard. This session walks through a coordinated, team-based outpatient model that strengthens recovery-supportive environments, improves communication, and meaningfully involves families across all stages of recovery.

Registration closes on September 8th, so don't miss your chance to learn from these and other fantastic clinicians.

Who comes to Gateway to Innovation Eating Disorder Conference?

Therapists. Dietitians. Physicians. Licensed counselors. School counselors. Allied health professionals. All of them united by one thing: a genuine commitment to improving care for individuals with eating disorders.

Gateway to Innovation is intentionally designed to be a mid-size conference, which means the people you meet here are people you'll actually get to know. The networking isn't forced or transactional. It's the kind that leads somewhere — a new referral partner, a peer consultation relationship, or simply the reassurance that comes from spending a day with professionals who understand the work you do.

Whether you're early in your career and building your foundation or you've been in this field for decades, there is a seat at this table for you.

Standard registration is $175. networkED members save $76 with their exclusive discount code. Register at network-ed.org/gateway-to-innovation.

Don't just take our word for it.

The Gateway to Innovation Eating Disorders Conference is in its third year, and the feedback from attendees and sponsors alike has been consistent: this is a conference worth your time.

Here's what a few of them had to say:

"The community spirit, the attention to details, the level of education provided, interactive presentations — all checked off for this year, thank you!!"
— Tammy Beasley, MS, RDN, CEDS-C

"I truly believe this will completely transform my clinical work as a therapist and I am eager to continue learning. I also found the opportunities to speak with vendors to be incredibly helpful."
— Jessica Huber, LPC

"I LOVED this conference! Excellent content and the perfect size to make deeper connections. I felt relaxed and able to really soak in the content vs. feeling stressed about meeting 400 different people."
— Past Sponsor and Attendee

Meet one of this year's ED 101 Track speakers!

Kim LaBarge, MS, LPCC-S is the National Director of Clinical Programming for Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare's Eating Disorder Network, where she leads clinical quality, program innovation, and provider development across multiple states. She brings extensive experience as a therapist, clinical supervisor, and program leader in eating disorder care at all levels of treatment.

On September 11, Kim will present: When CBT Isn't Enough: Advanced Integrative Case Conceptualization for Eating Disorder Clinicians.

Real-world eating disorder presentations rarely fit neatly into a manualized treatment approach. This session explores how four complementary frameworks — like RO-DBT, ACT, DBT, and IFS — can help clinicians develop more nuanced, individualized treatment plans when standard CBT approaches aren't getting traction. You'll leave with practical interventions and assessment questions you can apply right away.
