On this snowy day, we thought we'd post our plans for summer 2026!

Camp Sertoma will run July 6 through August 14 in 2-week sessions.

Girls residence camp will run July 19-22, and boys residence camp will run August 2-5.

Summer camp in October? Yes, please! On Friday, October 10, Camp Sertoma welcomed Horace Mann Elementary School for a day of fun! Hello! We are disheartened to post that our two dark blue kayaks were stolen earlier this week. This is in addition to our tandem kayak being stolen before the start of our 2025 season. Our paddle boats were found out in the pond this morning.

On July 3, a storm came through and did a lot of damage to the Council Ring. Five trees crashed through the fence, broke benches, and left a lot of debris! We are very thankful that no one got injured! On July 4, groups earned Gold Rush money by competing to see who could collect the most branches from the Council Ring and small field. Throughout the rest of the summer, some counselors worked on a Raven service project to repair and renovate the Council Ring. Adding in some art work by Raven candidate Maddie, our Council Ring is looking amazing! Thank you to all of campers, CITs, and staff (especially Jack, David, Hunter, Anna G., Anna R., and Evan)! Apologies if we're missing someone!

And that's a wrap on Camp Sertoma 2025! Tie-dye, War Games, and the mummy hike are always camper favorites! Even the bus ride was fun for some campers this year! Can you spot our future Woodlore staff? Future Survivor contestants who are ready to take on the string burn elimination challenge?

We'll have a few more posts in the upcoming weeks to recognize our 2025 staff, the Council Ring make-over, and our Campers/CIT of the Year.

Please see the information and link below regarding an opportunity for free health, dental, and vision care! It sounds like they were expecting 1,000 people a day but have only had about 100, so please share and make use of this opportunity as needed. School physicals and glasses are included!

Broome County and the United States Department of Defense have partnered for a joint mission called Innovative Readiness Training named Healthy Broome. The mission will offer medical, dental, optometry, and veterinary services at no cost to residents from August 11 to August 20, 2025, at SUNY Broome Community College’s Ice Center.

Free transportation to and from BCC for the clinic is available through BC Transit.
