Remember the mugs you voted on? Well, they’re finally here!

After extensive research (one cup of coffee on the patio), we can officially report that coffee tastes at least 25% better in a Flags of Valor camper mug. ☕😉

The artwork on the mug was created from a photograph taken by Keath Hauser of Patriot Training Foundation during the 2021 Flags of Valor memorial on Art Hill, making this piece a beautiful reminder of the heroes we honor and the mission we share.

Handcrafted in the USA by Deneen Pottery, each mug supports something bigger than your morning caffeine habit: 100% of profits benefit our five nonprofit partners serving veterans, service members, first responders, and their families.

Grab yours and start your day with purpose. We have four to choose from!

Just when we thought the last flag had been assembled, we discovered there were still 271 heroes waiting to be honored. Enter the heroes behind the heroes. Without hesitation, our friends at Guarantee Electrical Company and Graybar, along with Rick Randall's family, stepped forward and got the job done.

The day was made even more meaningful by the presence of Gold Star Mother Heather Wooderson and Matthew's brother, who shared the story of Army Pfc. Matthew H. Walker on the 12th anniversary of his death. We can only imagine the courage it took to stand before a group of strangers and relive such a painful loss. Their willingness to share Matthew's story ensured that his life, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Every flag represents a life. Every volunteer represents the very best of our community.

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who showed up, rolled up their sleeves, shared their hearts, and helped ensure no hero is left behind.

🇺🇸 7,750 flags. 7,750 stories. One grateful community.

Never Forget.

What a beautiful day at the Keeley Cares Carnival! 🎡🇺🇸

Keeley hosted food trucks, games, and family fun for their employees, and invited the nonprofit organizations they support throughout the year to be part of the celebration. What a fantastic idea!

We had the opportunity to meet so many people who care deeply about honoring our fallen heroes and strengthening our community. It was also wonderful to connect with fellow nonprofits doing incredible work, including the Urban League, Easterseals, St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Pedal the Cause, St. Louis Crisis Nursery, and the APA (who, of course, loved our Flags of Valor dog collars 🐾).

A huge thank you to the Keeley Construction Group for their generosity, community spirit, and commitment to making a difference. We’re honored to be among the organizations they support.

What a day. ❤️

At first glance, you might see a Memorial Day weekend barbecue.

Look closer.

Every face in this image is one of the thousands of heroes who died for our freedom.

Memorial Day isn't just the unofficial start of summer. It's a day to honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, and the families who carry their memory forward.

So this Memorial Day, enjoy time with the people you love. Then take a moment to remember those who paid the ultimate price to protect it.

If you're honoring a fallen hero today, tell us their favorite food.

Not their rank. Not their medals.

Their favorite food.

We want to know them beyond their service.

Because when you zoom in, Memorial Day looks a lot different.

Thank you Fox2Now for bringing awareness to our mission and helping us never forget. Nice job Keath of Patriot Training Foundation!! Please share!

As the nation approaches the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks this September, volunteers in St. Louis are dedicating their weekend to assembling more than 7,500 flags for the powerful Flags of Valor tribute display.

Today was emotional in a way that’s hard to put into words. This weekend marked our final flag assembly weekend before the 2026 Flags of Valor memorial. And after the display comes down next September, these flags will be honorably stored until they return to Art Hill again in 2031.

For many of us, that reality hit a little differently today. We were honored to spend the weekend alongside the following teams:
🇺🇸 JPMorganChase
🇺🇸 Team Valor Proud
🇺🇸 Plancorp Wealth Management
🇺🇸 Scott Credit Union
🇺🇸 Fox2Now
🇺🇸 Grimco
🇺🇸 Cass Information Systems
🇺🇸 Greater St. Louis Honor Flight
🇺🇸 IWR (MHS Legacy Group)

One of the coolest moments was welcoming the Fox2 News team not just as storytellers, but as volunteers. Instead of only sharing why Flags of Valor matters, they rolled up their sleeves and became part of the mission themselves. Huge thank you to Julie Lau, Kalista Mistrisin, Chris Higgins on Fox 2 (who served more than 20 years in the Air Force Reserve), Cassie Hall, Ty Hawkins, Shirley Washington on FOX2, and Olivia Dangler for your time, your hearts, and the beautiful coverage which we'll post links to soon!

We were also deeply honored to spend time with Greater STL Honor Flight and hear from Gold Star Families who continue to carry unimaginable loss with such grace, strength, and love. Their stories are the heartbeat of this memorial and a reminder that every single flag represents a real person, a real family, and a sacrifice that forever changed lives. And if you made it this far and are looking at every photo, there were more push-ups of course! Youth vs. Veteran experience!

But this weekend wasn’t just about assembling flags. It was about community. Remembrance. Service. Storytelling. And making sure these heroes continue to be remembered long after the field comes down. 🇺🇸

Some days remind you just how powerful community, remembrance, and service can be. 🇺🇸🏈 Please help us show some love to every volunteer who braved the elements yesterday. ❤️

Despite the rain, soaked tents, wet boxes, and completely unpredictable weather, Flags of Valor volunteers showed up with sunshine in their hearts from start to finish. From FanFest setup to teardown, and throughout the entire tailgate, this incredible group never stopped smiling or honoring our heroes.

One of the most powerful moments of the day came before kickoff, as 60 Gold Star Family members took the field to help unfurl the American flag. Watching families who have sacrificed so much stand united in front of thousands was emotional.

We’re also incredibly grateful to Krista Salvatore, a World Trade Center Tower 2 survivor, and Paul Carlock for the honor of presenting the game ball.

Thank you to the St. Louis Battlehawks organization, every volunteer, every Gold Star Family, and every fan who stopped by our tents, shared a story, sponsored a flag, or simply took a moment to remember. And thank you to John Burkemper and Grimco for jumping through hoops to make our banners!

Rain or shine, we carry their names forward. Never forget. 🇺🇸

Friends… this just never gets old. Today was just as incredible as every weekend before. New teams. New flags that represent life and sacrifice. New Gold Star families bravely sharing the stories of the heroes they love and miss every single day.

And today, we also had the incredible honor of hearing from Krista Salvatore, a survivor of World Trade Center Tower 2 on September 11, 2001. Her story is powerful, emotional, and a reminder that for so many, that day is not just history… it’s personal.

A huge thank you to today’s assembly teams:
🇺🇸 Silver Sentry’s
🇺🇸 The Liberty Crew
🇺🇸 The Valor Volunteers
🇺🇸 St. Louis Remembers
🇺🇸 Never Forget Crew

Every single person who walks through our doors becomes part of something bigger than themselves. You can feel it in the conversations, the teamwork, the stories shared across tables, and the care poured into every single flag assembled.

Thank you for helping us ensure these heroes are remembered not just for how they died, but for how they lived. 🇺🇸
