I’m going to say something a little bold.
Before we ever opened the doors of The House of Hope, I sat across from pastors, ministry leaders, community leaders, churches, and organizations and talked about the need for a Christ-centered transitional home for men.
Over and over I heard:
“We need this.”
“This is so necessary.”
“Our community needs something like this.”
“We’re behind you.”
Well… now it exists.
The doors are open.
We have 10+ men living in the house, with more asking for help.
Men are working. Men are attending recovery. Men are hearing about Jesus. Men are learning accountability, rebuilding relationships, and trying to build a different life.
And now I’m asking some of the same churches, organizations, businesses, and individuals who said this ministry was desperately needed:
Will you help us keep it going?
Encouragement was incredibly important when this was only a vision.
But now that the vision has become a reality, encouragement has to become action.
The truth is, we have received very little ongoing financial support, even as the number of men we are serving continues to grow.
Our program fee is $300 per month, per man, and many of the men referred to us arrive without the ability to pay it. We continue trying to make room because we don’t want money to be the reason someone doesn’t get a chance.
But we cannot continue absorbing the cost month after month and expect this ministry to have longevity.
I’m not posting this out of anger. I’m posting it because The House of Hope is here. The need is real. The men are here. And we need the Church and our community to step alongside us.
Sponsor a man for $300 a month.
Gather three people and give $100 each.
Give $25 or $50 a month and become part of someone’s story.
And if your church, business, or organization was one of the voices saying, “This community needs this,” I’m asking you to prayerfully consider becoming one of the reasons it can continue.
We built the house.
The men are coming.
Now we need people willing to help us keep the doors open.
Message me if you’re ready to help.
