Happy Thursday!! We hope you are enjoying these beautiful fall days! As we continue through this busy season in parish life, we wanted to share a few upcoming events and prayer intentions.

October Food Drive - October 24-26
Our Monthly Food Drive will be taking place this weekend! If you are able, please consider bringing an item to Mass this weekend or dropping it off at the Parish Center on Monday, October 26 from 1-2pm. The requested item this month is Tuna or Hamburger Helper.

Rose & Rosary - October 29
All women of the parish are invited to gather for the Women's Ministry Rose & Rosary on October 29 from 6-8pm. We hope you will join for this special time of prayer and fellowship. Details in the bulletin!

Stewardship Renewal Weekend October 31 - November 1
Next weekend is our annual Stewardship Renewal weekend. May we respond with grateful hearts and “Serve the Lord with Gladness.”

Celebration Dinner on November 7- RSVP Reminder
If you plan to attend the Celebration of Our Parish and Commemoration of Our Knights of Columbus Dinner with Bishop Ralph, please submit your RSVP by October 25.

We ask your prayers for the repose of the souls of Barbara Williams and Jerry Meyer. May the Lord welcome them into His eternal peace and bring comfort to their families and loved ones.

We’re excited to welcome Bishop Ralph to our parish for the first time on Saturday, November 7th, and we want to fill the room with our wonderful parish family!

🍽️ Following Mass — Parish Celebration Dinner at the Newman Center

⭐ Special Recognition — Celebrating 75 years of the Knights of Columbus at Mary Immaculate!

🍽️ Dinner will be catered by Hy-Vee, with a free-will offering collected to help support the Knights of Columbus.

Happy Thursday!

Since Father Joe is attending the Priests Institute this week, there will be no Adoration at St. Rose tonight.

White Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Mary Immaculate. This special Mass honors the dedication of healthcare workers and asks God's blessings upon them, their patients, and their caregivers.

Please keep in your prayers all those attending the Men's Welcome Retreat this weekend. May the Lord strengthen their hearts, guide their preparations, and use their service as a channel of grace for everyone who attends.

Because the retreat is being held at the Newman Center, the 11:00 a.m. Sunday Mass will be celebrated at Mary Immaculate this weekend.

A JOYOUS CELEBRATION OF 60 YEARS!

On September 13, our Mary Immaculate parish family had the incredible joy of celebrating Sister Ruth Ann Klauser, SSND, and her 60 years as a School Sister of Notre Dame.

What a beautiful day it was—from the Jubilee Mass at Mary Immaculate to the celebration that followed at the Newman Center. There was laughter, there were tears, there was music, there was a little Sister Act sparkle—and, most of all, there was an overwhelming outpouring of love and gratitude for a woman who has spent six decades giving her life in service to God and our faith.

Sister Ruth Ann’s years of ministry have touched countless lives, and it was truly a privilege to gather with family, friends, fellow sisters, parishioners, and so many who traveled from near and far to celebrate this remarkable milestone with her.

And we have one more reason to celebrate: Sister Ruth Ann is recovering well and is on her way toward a healthy recovery. We are so grateful!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special and to all who joined us in honoring Sister Ruth Ann.

What a beautiful legacy—and what a beautiful woman to celebrate!

There are some schedule changes in the upcoming week. Weekend masses will be as scheduled Saturday, Oct 3 and Sunday, October 4.

Good afternoon! There are quite a few announcements to share this week.

On Friday, October 2, there will be Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament and Morning Prayer beginning at 7:15 a.m. Please note that this will not be a full Mass.

Also tomorrow at 10:00 a.m., we invite all those 55 and older to join us for the Young at Heart gathering. Stop by and visit before the 11:00 Mass and luncheon at the Parish Center. Mary is preparing something special that you won't want to miss!

The Transitus of Saint Francis will be held Saturday, October 3, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the church. This beautiful prayer service commemorates the passing of St. Francis of Assisi, and all are welcome to attend. Please see last week's bulletin for additional details.

Before Masses this weekend, members of ATSU's Catholic Student Association will briefly speak about an upcoming event on October 10, featuring Cardinal Willem Eijk, MD, PhD, who will discuss the bioethical implications of artificial intelligence in medicine. We also want to make you aware of an event being held in St. Louis on October 24 that will explore care for immigrant communities from a Catholic perspective. If there is enough interest in attending, we would be happy to help coordinate carpooling. Please contact the Parish Center if you would like to be connected with others who may be attending.

If you haven't already RSVP'd for our Celebration of the Parish on November 7, we would love to hear from you! We are honored to welcome Bishop Ralph, who will celebrate the 4:30 p.m. Mass with us that evening. Following Mass, all are invited! Please contact the Parish Center by October 25 to reserve your spot.

Please keep Father Joe in your prayers as he attends the Priests' Institute from October 5 through October 9, 2026. During this time, he will be unavailable for appointments.

We will have a modified Mass schedule next week due to Father Joe's absence and a schedule will be posted this weekend.
