🎅 The Parade returns as part of Kirksville’s Hometown Holiday celebration in !

🤠 This year’s theme is “HOLLY DOLLY CHRISTMAS” in memory of Dolly Parton and her Imagination Library: a program that Kiwanis is proud to sponsor in our community!

🚘 The parade will be held Saturday, November 28th, 2026, at 5:30 PM starting along Franklin Street and traveling around the Square! This year’s Parade Grand Marshal is longtime community leader Larry Whitney!

🧤 In lieu of an entry fee, the Kiwanis Club of Kirksville asks parade participants to donate NEW children’s mittens, gloves, hats, coats, and scarves! This warm clothing will then be donated to children in need in our community. You can also bring warm children's clothing to the parade, which will be collected along the parade route.

📚 You can also support our efforts to continue Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in our community through a donation to the Kiwanis Club of Kirksville Foundation at:
Kiwanis Club of Kirksville Foundation
P.O. Box 172
Kirksville, MO 63501

🌐 You may also donate online directly to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Foundation by checking the box to designate the gift of any amount for Kirksville at donate.imaginationlibrary.com!

🎃 The 10th Annual Costume Drive continues!

👻 Now through October 15th, we are collecting gently used, or new, costumes, props, and spooky accessories for children in grades K-8. Items may be dropped off at the Adair County Family YMCA, the Adair County Public Library, or the Club's booth at the Kiwanis Farmers' Market! These costumes are for children in need who wouldn’t otherwise have a costume and are distributed on the honor system. They will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and no paperwork or income verification is needed.

🤡 Collected items will be made available during a Free Halloween Costume Pickup at 112 N. Franklin St. (the former Baker's Smokehouse) on Saturday, October 17th, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Questions? Please contact [email protected]!
