🧥 Clean out your closets for a great cause!

Throughout October, LWSD is collecting new and gently used fall and winter clothing to support students across our district.

📅 October 1-30
📍 Drop off at the LWSD Resource Center, Eastlake HS, Lake Washington HS or Juanita HS.

Please donate clothing that is in good condition and current in style, with no tears, stains or heavy wear. Check out the flyer for donation and sorting details.

Together, we can help make sure students have the clothing they need as cooler weather arrives. 🍂

Congratulations to two Juanita High School seniors, who earned national recognition for their theatre talents this summer. Both received awards at the 2026 International Thespian Excellence Awards, better known as the Thespys.

𝗔𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁-𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗿 was named a 2026 Thespy Award winner in Costume Design
𝗢𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 earned the honor for Musical Theatre Performance: Solo.

Both students represented Juanita High School’s International Thespian Society Troupe 3422 among students from schools across the country.

We are looking forward to hosting our first PTSA meeting of the school year on 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟳𝘁𝗵! 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝟳:𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗛𝗦 𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆--all are welcome!

We will start the meeting with PTSA Introductions and Information & conduct nominations and election for our vacant treasurer position.

Someone from the Kirkland Teen Union Building (KTUB) will be joining us to discuss the services and support they provide to teens in the community.

We hope to see everyone on Wednesday!

On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, Juanita High School will hosting its annual "Super Wednesday" testing event, offering the PSAT/NMSQT, and the SAT School Day opportunities for students.
・ASVAB testing is also available (See Ms. Woo and/or complete this form by 10/14 https://tinyurl.com/fz5fx6yh )
・10th graders are expected to take the PSAT/NMSQT at no cost.
・11th graders may register for the PSAT/NMSQT for $23 (or free for students receiving Free/Reduced Meals but you still need to submit “payment” on the InTouch platform, or in person at the Bookkeeper Window!).
・12th graders may register for the SAT School Day for $75 (or $8 for students receiving Free/Reduced Meals, using the InTouch payment platform, or in person at the Bookkeeper Window!!)

Payment is your registration and must be completed by September 30, 2026 online, using the InTouch platform, or in person at Ms. Grager’s Bookkeeper Window.

Students who are not participating in a testing session will remain home on Super Wednesday. There will be no additional bus runs or alternative school programming offered during the testing window. Families should plan transportation accordingly.

Students taking the digital PSAT or SAT should ensure the Bluebook application is installed on their school-issued device before test day and are encouraged to complete a practice test in advance. Bluebook should only be installed while at Juanita.

Additional information regarding schedules, transportation, and activities following the testing session will be shared with families as details are finalized.
