Hello FHMS Families!

Our PTSA needs your help! The current and incoming PTSA boards are actively preparing for the 2026–2027 term. At this time, we are in urgent need to fill the Treasurer (or Co‑Treasurers) roles, to remain in good standing as a PTSA. Without this position filled, we cannot function as a PTSA for the upcoming year.

All considerations are appreciated! Please email: [email protected] to learn more about the Treasurer position, or other open chair positions available for 2026-2027 school year!

Middle school PTSA roles are more manageable than elementary commitments, while still giving families a meaningful opportunity to stay involved in the school community. Please consider supporting our students and staff next year by stepping into the Treasurer roles.

Here are some important facts about the Treasurer role:

Work‑from‑home flexibility — This role can be completed entirely from home and fits easily into busy schedules.

Flexible term options — If a full‑term commitment isn’t possible, the term length can be adjusted.

Training and support — No prior experience is required; full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Flexible meetings — Meeting requirements are adaptable, with virtual participation available.

Co-Treasurer option available — Two volunteers can lessen the load by splitting tasks.

Don't forget! The deadline to order your Fireworks Night Mariners tickets is June 1st, next Monday. Be sure to get your orders in before then, tickets are only $25 for main level seating for the June 19th game against the Red Sox. We hope to see you there!

Celebrate the end of the school year on June 19th with Fireworks Night as the Mariners take on the Red Sox at 7:10 PM! After the game, there will be fireworks, which is a great way to cap off the school year. Bring your friends and family and make a night of it!

We have tickets available as a group on the main level, and we'd love to have you join us. The tickets are specially priced at $25 this time, in celebration of making it to the end of the school year, and kicking off summer.

If you're still in town, we'd love to have you join us! Tickets will be transferred to the email you provide during checkout, in the week before the game. Make sure you look for an email from "Mariners Fancare" for your tickets.

Ticket purchase deadline is June 1st. If you would like to sit with friends or other families, please coordinate so one person purchases all the tickets, to ensure you're seated together.

Next Tuesday is our final General Membership meeting of the year. Please come and join us in the FHMS Library, where we'll have some light snacks, recap the year, have elections for next year's board (please self-nominate if you'd like to take on one of our most needed roles of President, Secretary, or Treasurer!), as well as vote on the budget for next year, so the new board can start spending for next year over the summer.

8th Grade families! If you're moving to JHS next year, they're having their last PTSA Meeting of the year tonight. If you can make it and want to get a head start on getting involved next year, it would be a great opportunity to check it out!

Our last PTSA meeting of the school year is TONIGHT (MAY 6th) and you won't want to miss it! We have a big, FUN agenda, and we need members to attend so we have quorum to approve our budget and elect our officers for next year!

We hope to present these awards at our May 12th meeting, which will be in the FHMS Library.

It's Staff Appreciation week! We are so thankful for the teachers and staff that take care of our students day in and day out!

We have a full lineup to show staff we appreciate them this week, but be sure to say "Thank you" if you see any of the FHMS teachers or staff this week for all the hard work they do for our students!

On Tuesday, May 5th, in partnership with ASB Leadership, SOAR, and PRIDE Ambassador students, as well as FHMS families, we'll be having our first International Festival from 6-8 PM in the Commons. We look forward to seeing you!

Calling all volunteers! We need you! We cannot run a PTSA without the help of volunteers and their dedicated time.

Finn Hill PTSA has openings for dedicated parents/community members to help us SUPPORT, ENRICH AND CONNECT. For next school year, we are needing to fill the following important roles:

- President
- Vice President( new role)
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Membership Chair
- Enrichments Chair
- School Services Chair
- FACE (Family And Community Engagement)
- Communications Chair (previously done by the President)
- Financial Review Committee

As a 501(c)(3) organization, we rely on volunteers like you to provide fundraising and support services to Finn Hill Middle School extracurricular programs such as Bingo night, reflection art activity, Family and community engagement events, staff appreciation, fun run fundraiser and grants to Finn Hill Middle School.

Our mission is to support the development of extracurricular student programs, to enrich the middle school educational experience, contributing to the foundation of a future for all students.
