What type of meeting would best meet your needs?

We are needing to make some adjustments to what we've been offering and want to make sure we are providing what is needed for our community. When the group was first formed 13 years ago (!!!), the meeting time of Saturday mornings was selected to balance what was offered by other nearby groups. There were weekday groups in the evening and during the day so Kirkland offered something different. More recently, we've been offering a weekday morning playgroup meeting and an online weekend morning group.

Is an in-person meeting how you best receive support? Does the statewide virtual meeting serve you well? Do you need a weekday evening meeting?

Did you know it is possible to relactate? There are many reasons someone may choose to relactate, and it is useful during infant feeding emergencies. Read the article from LLL GB and/or contact your local Leader for more information.

Sometimes after a difficult start to breastfeeding it may be necessary to build up your milk supply and encourage your baby tp breastfeed. We also look at induced lactation

If you pump your milk you may see lots of variation in color: whereas formula milk always looks the same, the composition and appearance of human milk changes throughout the day, and even throughout a pumping session or feed. More information here -

Between my daughter’s birth in summer 2020 and getting vaccinated against covid-19 in early 2021, I made it my goal to continue to breastfeed until my baby could get vaccinated, too.
