Last week, several members of the Sno-King staff attended the USA Hockey Western Regional High Performance Camp in Colorado Springs, Colorado, one of the premier development opportunities for coaches in the region.
Representing Sno-King were Melissa Erkel (Girls Coordinator), Darin Campbell (Director of Goalie Development), Doug Kirton (Hockey Director & Head Coach, 19U AAA Girls), and Joel Willits (Head Coach, 12U AAA Girls).
Throughout the week, they collaborated with coaches from across the western United States, participated in on-ice and classroom sessions, and gained valuable insights from USA Hockey staff and fellow hockey leaders. The camp provided opportunities to learn new drills, share ideas, and explore innovative approaches to player development.
Most importantly, they returned with new knowledge and tools that will directly benefit Sno-King players and programs. Experiences like these help our coaches continue to grow, ensuring our athletes receive the best possible development both on and off the ice.
We're grateful for the dedication our coaches show to their own development and proud to have them representing Sno-King at the highest levels of coach education.
