If you'd like to support the nonprofit and get a cool rash guard out of it here's your chance! If you don't know, I started a nonprofit in 2023, Take the Back Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Self Defense. We hold women’s-only jiu jitsu classes every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. (NoGi), Friday at 5:30 p.m. (Gi) and Sunday at 9 a.m. at Gracie Barra Kirkland. The cost is $10 per session, or $110 per month. Our aim is simple: to teach self defense to any woman, teen or young girl who wants to learn. Short sleeve rash guards are just $48 and long sleeve $50. Order now!

Clarification for anyone attending our classes: These sessions are not part of the Gracie Barra “train anywhere” policy. Classes are $10 — we’re a nonprofit, not a business, and that fee is what keeps us running. Please pay before you arrive or before class. Paying GBK members train free, and moms with a kid enrolled at GBK get one class free per week. If you train at another GB, or at any other school, the cost is just $10, a minimal fee for an hour of top-notch training.

The more we raise, the more we can give back to our community. Part of the proceeds from this event will go to Prof. Lindsey Johnson's () family.
