Community Effort
Organizing the massive event is no small feat. Planning begins in spring, with sponsors secured, volunteers recruited, and races coordinated months in advance. By September, the “Yellow Horde” of volunteers and organizers are in full force, ensuring every detail—from trophies and gumbo to auction items and racing lanes—is ready to go.
This year’s results spoke volumes:
• Twice as many car entries
• Twice as many emergency responders participating
• Over 1,000 paid spectators at the races
Funds raised go directly to serving local families. In the coming months, applications from families in need will be reviewed, toys purchased, and holiday bundles prepared—ensuring that Kirbyville children wake up to a joyful Christmas morning.
